New 2025 CSA Season
We are so excited to grow food for you to share all that is new for this season!
Starting with the 2025 season, St. Croix Valley CSA is joining a regional food system that aligns perfectly with our values of pure and simple farming. While we'll continue growing over 150 varieties of organic vegetables, fruits, and herbs using the same chemical-free, non-GMO practices you trust, we're making some important improvements to better serve you:
What's New for 2025:
- Home Delivery: Instead of pickup sites, your fresh produce will be delivered right to your door in reusable insulated packages!
- Expanded Shopping Options: Your weekly delivery can include:
- Your regular CSA share (still harvested fresh from our fields)
- Our traditional add-ons (eggs, honey, maple syrup)
- Complementary items from other local farms in our new group
- A full selection of grocery staples
- Ready-to-eat meals made with pasture raised proteins & our organic produce
Why This Matters to Our Community:
As Amish farmers, we deeply value our connection to the land and our community (you!). This new collaborative group allows us to maintain our traditional farming practices while making it more convenient for you to support local, organic agriculture. You'll still receive our weekly newsletter with box descriptions and recipe suggestions, but now you can build a complete grocery order around your CSA share.
How the Regional Food System Works:
We're excited to be joining a revolutionary local food hub that helps small farms like ours thrive while making it easier for you to access fresh, local food. Here's what this means:
Shared Resources & Better Infrastructure
This partnership gives us access to shared resources like cold storage and an efficient delivery network, allowing us to focus more on farming and less on logistics. This means we can focus more time on what we do best - growing your food using our traditional, organic methods - while ensuring your produce stays fresh from harvest to your door.
A More Connected Food Community
You'll have your own account on our new website (coming soon!) where you can:
· Manage your orders and delivery schedules
· Add products from other local producers in our new group
· Order additional grocery items week to week, and subscribe to your favorites to make grocery shopping easy
All of this while maintaining direct connection with us as your farmers through our weekly newsletters and updates
Year-Round Support
What makes this change special is that while you'll continue getting the same fresh, organic produce, you can now support our farming community year-round through your regular grocery shopping —not just during the growing season.
With our expanded marketplace, you’ll find everything from locally raised chicken to pantry staples like gluten free pasta and your favorite snacks. By purchasing the rest of your weekly groceries through us and our partner the Regional Food System, we receive a portion of that revenue to support direct to your door deliveries and investment back into our farm. And in addition, being part of this group allows us to offer produce raised on our farm longer into the winter too!
Same Values, Better Service
Rest assured; this change doesn't affect our farming practices. We'll continue working harmoniously with nature using wind, solar, hydro, and horsepower as we have for generations. The only differences are that you can more easily support other local farmers, your grocery purchases directly support our farm, and we can more efficiently bring our harvest to you longer into the season.
The Benefits for Everyone:
- For our farm: Less time spent on deliveries means more time for mindful farming
- For you: One convenient home delivery for all your grocery needs
- For our environment: Fewer delivery vehicles on the road and less pre-consumer waste from grocery stores
- For our community: A stronger, more connected and economically viable local food system that helps preserve our traditional farming way of life
